Garb and Armour of the Argent Court
The Argent Court Colours
On those occasions where we choose to fight as a team or to present ourselves as a unit we wear our club colours, known as "The Blues"
The full dress colours consist of a dark blue surcoat lined and edged in white. Although we wear the Argent Court colours, we traditionally do not wear the club hearaldic emblem. Instead we wear our own unique symbol in white on on our blue surcoats. This is symbolic of the Argent Court's philosophy as a group of Knights and Lords on the field, not soldiers in an army.
Our sheilds are either painted in the same colour scheme or in our personal colours.
In addition to the Argent Court colours , members are ecouraged to create their own personal hearaldry.
These come in many froms from the simple coloured surcoat to elaborate designs.
The ladies of the Argent Court enjoy getting dressed up at least as much as the men do, with quite a range of garb from the saucy tavern wenches and simple peasant dresses to elaborate ladies garb from across the middle ages.
Fighters in the Argent Court wear a range of different armours for additional protection or simply for style. These include basic maille hauberks and norman helms to full plate armour. While most of our weapons and amour is from medieval Europe, some have chosen to equip themselves in middle eastern or Russian style reflecting the areas that came into conflict with western knights during the crusader period.
We source our armour from a range of suppliers both local and overseas. A significant portion of the armour you see here was made by members of the Argent Court.
